4th Eastern Visayas Psychology Conference

Theme: Psychology, Social Justice, and Collective Action in the time of COVID-19

This year’s conference is organized by the Division of Social Sciences, UP Visayas Tacloban College, Tacloban City, Philippines in collaboration with the UPVTC Psych Circle, a student-led academic organization. This event brings together students and professionals of Psychology and other allied fields in Social Sciences within and across the country. The main objective is to foster proactive dialogue among participants on the developments and current trends in psychology - study and practice considering the COVID 19 pandemic context – through keynote addresses, plenary sessions, and lightning talks. More specifically, this event aims to:

1. Engage in collective sharing of experiences in the time of COVID-19;
2. Discuss and address the psychosocial, economic, political, cultural, and gendered implications of the COVID-19 pandemic.
3. Highlight the role of Psychology in promoting and maintaining social justice amid the coronavirus pandemic
