The Peter Boomgaard Southeast Asia Collection holds over 2000 books, monographs, edited volumes, and data materials from Indonesia's National Archive in Jakarta. The
collection covers a wide range of subjects from economic, social, cultural, environmental, agricultural, and scientific histories of Asia, especially Indonesia. It was donated by Dr. Raquel A.G. Reyes, historian and newspaper columnist. The collection was named after the late Dr. Peter Boomgaard, a distinguished Professor of Environmental and Economic History of Southeast Asia at the University of Amsterdam.
This activity is part of the Asian Center 65th Anniversary Celebration with the theme, “Zealously cultivating ideas, Ceaselessly inspiring minds across Asia.”
